Seller note:

1993 Yamaha WaveBlaster I for $1595 firm.
The WaveBlaster I is the most agile sit down ski ever made. It rides like a dirtbike and is often described as "the closest thing to riding a motorcycle on water". You can really lean it over in the corners producing tons of g-forces. This ski is sought after in the racing scene for its incredible agility.
This ski has Yamahas 2 stroke 701cc twin cylinder engine with oil injection (no mixing of gas needed) that has been proven to be 1 of the most reliable engines made. This is the same basic 701cc engine design that's in the 2009 yamaha superjet. Since the engine design has been around forever, there are numerous aftermarket parts to improve the performance inexpensively. In fact, a pipe alone can add twenty HORSEPOWER without losing any reliability I know a guy in Joliet that has two pipes asking $350 each. The nice thing is that since it's a sit down, you'll actually be able to use all of the extra power without falling off every 2nd like on the stand ups.
These are the sit down of choice by lots of freestyle riders. They use these for backflips and for big airs! Just search youtube for waveblaster backflip or freestyle and you'll see them in action. This ski has not been pre-owned for huge jumps by me (we ride on a relatively calm river) or by previous riders (no stress cracks on the rear of the hull).
This is a mostly stock ski. Nothing has been done to the engine. The engine is strong and has good even compression on both cylinders.
The previous owner must have stored the ski in the water, because there is a discoloration/roughness on the sides at the waterline (I'm guessing it was from algae). I was able to get it off by hard scrubbing, but stopped after getting about a foot and a half done. You can see it in the photos if you look for it.
This ski has white aftermarket handle bars, aftermarket grips that can't slip off and a custom white seat cover that really helps it stand out in a crowd.
It's an absolute blast!
This does not come with a trailer, but this ski is not a heavy sit down ski. It can easily be put in a pickup truck or on any little trailer. The weight is 320 pounds (dry). The stand up jetski Kawasaki SXR 800 weighs 369 lbs (dry) and the Yamaha superjet (a light stand up) weights 290 pounds (dry). I often see people unloading these stand ups into the river by themselves with a pickup truck. For comparison, a new Seadoo GTX S 155 weights 960 pounds (dry). I can deliver it with my trailer if you don't live to far away or for a few $$ if you are many miles from me. You would have to buy the ski 1st though:) I've seen a guy use the $150 harbor freight (new) trailer to haul two stand up jetskis. Often, pre-owned single place (for 1 ski) trailers sell for about $300 as well.
